Grounding Recovery Bag

The conductive Grounding Recovery Bag was created especially for Tour de France cycling teams and other athletes for the purpose of accelerating recovery from extreme physical activity. Users slip between the top and bottom sheet, as they would a sleeping bag while resting or sleeping. The Grounding Recovery Bag can be rolled up and stuffed in a small bag. It is very popular with travelers and athletes. The Grounding Recovery Bag is 100 cm wide and the fabric is made from cotton with conductive silver fibers in a matrix throughout the cotton. The Grounding Recovery Bag connects to the Earth with a ground cord. One end of the cord snaps onto the Grounding Recovery Bag and the other end inserts into an electrical outlet ground port via a plug or to a ground rod outside.

The Grounding Recovery Bag Sleep System is a sand color poly/cotton sleeping bag or sheet containing woven-in conductive silver fibers. Lying or sleeping in the Grounding Recovery Bag connects you to the earth during sleep. This product is primarily used by athletes and those who travel extensively but is a wonderful option for those who like to move their sleeping spot around frequently or who just want the flexibility of a sleeping bag and a sheet in the same product.

Recovery Bag Size: 100 X 210cm, open is 200 X 210 cm.

Colour is natural cotton (off-white). The sheets have a connection stud at the edge where the connection cord fits.

The product kit includes everything you need for use: the grounding recovery bag, a 4.6m (15ft) connection cord, and one US outlet checker if you select a kit.   International orders: We will send the appropriate outlet checker based on your region.

Direct skin contact with the sheet is required for optimal use.

The Earth is like a gigantic battery that contains a natural, subtle electric charge—a special kind of energy present in the ground. For safety and stability, most everything in the electrical world is connected to it, whether it is an electric power plant or your refrigerator. That’s what the term “grounded” means.

You are a bioelectrical being living on an electrical planet. Your body operates electrically. All of your cells transmit multiple frequencies that run, for example, your heart, immune system, muscles, and nervous system.

With the exception of humans living in industrialized societies, all living things on our planet are connected to the ground’s electric energy. In industrialized societies, you rarely go barefoot outside or wear natural leather shoes that allow you to absorb the ground’s energy. For many decades, people have increasingly been wearing rubber and plastic-soled shoes that act as a barrier to the Earth’s energy, insulating them from electrical contact with the Earth. People also generally don’t sleep on the ground anymore, as many cultures have done throughout history. They live and work above the ground, even far above the ground in high-rises.

The truth is, you’re disconnected. You’re ungrounded. You are not in touch with the Earth.

Scientific research over more than a decade indicates that your body can be protected and helped—and that you feel better—when you electrically reconnect to the Earth. That is, when you are grounded. Here are three examples of potential benefits that have been reported in these studies:

1. Decreased Levels of Inflammation and Pain

Being grounded can help relieve inflammation. Studies show the following:

30 percent reduction in pain
70 percent reduction in pain interfering with sleep
30 percent reduction in morning stiffness and soreness

After 4 weeks:
80 percent reduction in pain
70 percent reduction in morning stiffness and soreness
No sleep interference

2. Reduced Stress Levels

When grounded, the diurnal rhythm of the stress hormone, cortisol, begins to normalize. Cortisol is connected to your body’s stress response and helps control blood sugar levels, regulates metabolism, helps reduce inflammation, and assists with memory formulation. In addition to a normalization of the cortisol rhythm, participants in this study also slept better and woke up feeling more refreshed.

3. Improved Circulation

When you are grounded, your circulation improves, aiding in the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the tissues in your body, including better blood flow to your face.

Ideally, you want to sustain the grounding experience and make it a part of your daily routine.

For many people, however, there isn’t time in their busy days to go out barefoot. So, there are also indoor options such as this grounded bed sheet. There are other alternatives such as grounded chairs, mats, body bands, or patches, but we find that the best time to ground is while you sleep. It is the one time of day that you are still for 5-8 hours, also a time that your body uses to repair itself, so naturally we opted to help sell the grounded bedsheets which we individually test for the highest quality and deliver to you. Everyone who has started this journey with us has experienced many of the benefits above. Whatever route you take, get grounded and feel vibrant.

Washing and care instructions

It is good to wash your grounded recovery bag. It will not be harmed by washing, in fact, it is beneficial. Washing strips body sweat and natural skin oils from the silver keeping it conductive.

DOs
Wash every week or two
Wash in a washing machine with warm water (40°C / 105°F)
Use a liquid laundry detergent
Line dry or dry in a dryer on low (up to 65°C / 150°F)
Can be ironed on a low heat if desired

DON'Ts
Don't wash with bleach
Don't wash with fabric softeners
Don't use whitening detergents, oxi-detergents OR detergents with oils like lavender or coconut oil
Don't use dryer sheet fabric softeners
Don't dry clean

Bleach, lotions, and oils can tarnish the silver rendering it non-conductive. Fabric softener builds up on the silver and also ruins its conductive properties.
